Wine Pairings: Pinot Blanc and MusselsPosted by Erin Hollingsworth, May 09, 2008 at 11:00 AM by Erin Hollingsworth I'm kind of a really big fan of Alsatian Pinot Blanc and I've never met a bivalve mollusk I didn't like—mussels are no exception. As much as I like them both, liking two things does not necessarily mean they will like each other—you have friends like this I'm sure. But in the case of mussels and Pinot Blanc, I think they like each other so well, they might quit inviting me to hang out. OK. So maybe the metaphor's gone too far, but the point remains: Mussels taste good with Alsatian Pinto Blanc. Read Entire Post...

Sure it's still pretty rainy and a little chilly in parts of the country, (like mine) but that too is part of the whole Spring thing. On the bright side, we've had lots of nice sunny days and, more importantly, tons to come. For the wine lovers out there, that means rose. Rose, if you don't know, gets its color from limited exposure to the skins of grapes. Red wines get more exposure, roses get less, whites get none. That's simplifying things, but who wants to get complicated about rose? That's a rhetorical question. I don't want to get complicated about rose.
